SUMMARY:Technology Forum – Beethoven 200
LOCATION:Berlin
DESCRIPTION:Where Music\, Human Creativity & Artificial Intelligence Meet\n
\nCan artificial intelligence understand musical interpretation? What make
 s a pianist’s expression unique\, and can technology reveal the subtle d
ifferences that transform written notes into living music?\n\nAs part of
“Beethoven 200 – Artistic Intelligence\,” the Berliner Klavierfestta
ge invite audiences to an extraordinary encounter between classical music\
 , scientific research\, and technological innovation.\n\nIn collaboration
with Yamaha\, the Technology Forum will present the first findings of our
pioneering AI-based analysis of Beethoven’s piano sonatas. Drawing on re
cordings from the international academy\, researchers will explore how mus
ical interpretation develops\, how artists shape tempo\, dynamics\, and ex
pression\, and what artificial intelligence can reveal about the individua
lity of human creativity.\n\nLectures by leading experts in artificial int
elligence\, musicology\, and technology\, followed by an interdisciplinary
panel discussion\, will explore the possibilities and limitations of this
emerging relationship between music and science.\n\nThe forum culminates
in an extraordinary live performance: a duet between a pianist and artific
ial intelligence. Rather than simply reproducing a predetermined part\, th
e AI listens and responds to the pianist in real time\, adapting to their
tempo\, dynamics\, and musical expression. Human and machine become musica
l partners\, entering into a dialogue that challenges our understanding of
performance and creativity.\n\nAn invitation to discover not only what te
chnology can learn from music\, but what music might discover through tech
nology.\n\nThe event is open to the public\, and no ticket is required for
  admission.
