Xiaqiu Luo comes from a musical family and learned to play the violin at the age of 4. He started piano lessons at the age of 8. After receiving his bachelor's degree (in literature from Shanghai Normal University), he began working as a concert manager and discovered how important the piano was to him. He decided to focus on a career as a classical pianist, and in recent years his passionate belief has only become more resolute.

From 2018 to 2021, Xiaqiu was annually invited by the Shanghai Oriental Art Center to participate in Magic Piano & The Chopin Shorts, concerts featuring Polish Oscar-winning animated music videos in which he performs Chopin's Etudes in the venue's concert hall. In November 2020, he played Beethoven's Piano Sonata Op. 28 as part of a Beethoven memorial concert series in the Recital Hall at the same venue. From September 2018 to January 2019, Xiaqiu served as the music director of Let The World Hear (Chinese remake of the Japanese musical TV series Nodame Cantabile) and traveled to Paris for filming, where he was also seen replacing the lead's hands.

In 2018 and later in 2023, he traveled to Israel to attend the piano master class in Tel-Hai. He is a prizewinner of the Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition 2024 (3rd prize) and received comments from Albo Valdma, a member of the jury and professor of piano at the HfMT Cologne: “Your colorful sound and your great admiration for every note played on the piano bring joy to the listeners.”
